Speaker Series

Each year, Bridging LIVES partners with Bridgewater-Raynham Regional School District to host speakers that aim to raise awareness about substance use and educate students on healthy decision-making.

Chris Herren

Former NBA player, Fall River native and individual in recovery, Chris Herren, has presented to middle and high school students in Bridgewater-Raynham over the past several years. Herren shares his story of addiction while teaching young people the dangers of substance use and the power of positive decision-making.

Kevin Rosario

Kevin Rosario is the Director of Community Outreach for Gosnold Inc., a non-profit provider of mental health and substance use disorder services. Mr. Rosario presented to Bridgewater- Raynham Regional High School juniors and seniors in May of 2019 and shared openly about his story of addiction and recovery. Mr. Rosario is a Nationally Certified Recovery Coach, Family Coach and Intervention Professional and has worked in the field since 2012. Kevin’s primary role at Gosnold Inc. is to serve as a liaison between EAP’s, Union Reps, HR Departments, medical and clinical professionals and the people they serve. Navigating treatment can be very stressful and Kevin is always available to provide guidance and direction when it is needed most.

Corey’s Cause

In 2018, Bridgewater-Raynham hosted Cory’s Cause for over 800 high school students. Cory’s Cause was founded in 2016 after Cory Palazzi suffered a heroin overdose in 2013 which left him permanently disabled. Cory’s Cause is a 501-C3 non-profit organization. The goal is to help other families by sharing Cory’s story and educate individuals and their families about drug addiction. Along with the education component, Cory’s Cause provides support and resources for treatment.
